Joel & Virginia
I was fortunate to experience the hospitality of Joel’s children when I first moved to Georgia and seven years later I can truly call them family. The wedding between Joel and Virginia was nothing short of stunning. Joel’s daughter Kim took the role of design director while her brother David organized the food service. A few family antiques, a 19th century wooden door from a local farmhouse, and over 200 of the most amazing cupcakes, added the finishing touches to this beautiful celebration.
Brooke & Timothy
We hosted a beautiful wedding on Saturday for Brooke and Timothy in our event barn. Sunshine, warm weather, and an abundance of delicious food brought these two families together for a truly memorable celebration. Paying homage to Georgia Bulldog loyalty, red was a prominent color throughout: red roses, red table runners, red dresses and even red neckties. As tradition dictates, the cake was white, but not without first adding the Bulldog’s logo and presenting it on a red linen cloth. I was later informed that the groom’s grandmother, who had been baking cakes her entire life, came out of retirement at the age of 84 for a final time to bake and decorate this special cake. Food was provided by Iron Pig BBQ, photography by Ashley Brock Guthas, DJ entertainment by Brenda & Bryant Cruse, and bartending by Diego Gomez.
Our vineyard is a busy place, but we still manage to find time for some updates! Please check here periodically to find out what is new on the farm. Thank you! George
