Want to complete the look of your barn wedding? Add greenery! Abundant eucalyptus on the tables, over the gazebo, and in the bridal bouquet has made Rachel & Brian's wedding a pure fantasy. Flowers were designed and provided by Desiree Koury of Iris Florals. Planning and decor were organized by European Wedding Planner Anya. Gourmet catering was provided by Sandra Cook of Catered Southern Events. Sandra is professionally trained as both a gourmet chef and pastry chef (take a look at the wedding cake she decorated!). A beautiful family, wonderful food, and gorgeous decor made this wedding perfectly stunning. Professional photos from Mackenzie Ortiz will follow shortly. The evening's festivities were concluded with a sparkler send-off; arranged as a gauntlet of family members holding enormous sparklers which the bride and groom ran through before exiting in their getaway car!
When the groom's parents are in the interior design industry (CB Wallcovering), the wedding reception decor is guaranteed to turn heads. White linens create the blank canvas for an evening of elegance and are accentuated with a bounty of fresh greenery. A photography backdrop is created from pipe frame draped with sheer cloth and backlit with twinkle lights. As a recurring theme, warm white twinkle lights are employed to create accent lighting around many of the decor pieces. A salvaged wooden ladder is converted into a photo gallery for the bride and groom. Beverages were provided by Kim Pickerel of Kim's Kocktails.
With a guest list above 200 for their Saturday wedding, Susan and Roscoe had to create a clear roadmap in advance to entertain both of their large families. Friday reservation of the venue was one of the steps in their design plan to accommodate all of the setup and decor. Roscoe's sisters were running an endurance marathon Friday evening as they decorated each of the more than 200 dining chairs, and not finishing until 10pm! Saturday's activities commenced with choreographed catering staff effortlessly shuttling warmers, chafing pans, and beverage dispensers. A few final touches by the pastry chef to the wedding cake; a generous snack bar overflowing with candy; and two terrific families joining together; now the party can begin!
Scenario: as a newly engaged fiancé and former US Army soldier, you wish to wear a uniform at your wedding but still want to take creative liberty. Solution: you enlist your future wife's cousin who is a seamstress and costume designer to custom create a replica of George Washington's Army jacket. Amazing!
Our vineyard is a busy place, but we still manage to find time for some updates! Please check here periodically to find out what is new on the farm. Thank you! George
